Brenden Mattila
Brenden is the spark that caused the Poikas to come to be. When he turned 18 he started to play hockey, which caused his dad Joel to also start playing, and eventually start the Poikas. Brenden is a blazing fast skater and a top level scorer in Rec League.

The "Sisu Cup" is awarded to the player who demonstrates the most sisu (pronounced – see’-soo) in a game. Sisu is a Finnish word that doesn't have a precise equivalent in English, but is similar to "guts" or "grit" or "perseverance".
